This year, the Cooperatives Europe General Assembly Meeting will take place in Denmark at the scenic conference venue, Konventum, located in Hamlet’s Helsingør (Elsinore), just 45 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Copenhagen.

Useful Tips

How to get here
Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup, is the main international airport serving Copenhagen, and the entire Zealand and Øresund Region. It is located just outside of Copenhagen and only 50 km from conference venue, Konventum, in Helsingør (Elsinore).

Direct Flights to/from Copenhagen
Copenhagen is accessible from all corners of Europe via direct flights and connection flights.

To and from the airport
Public transport will get you anywhere you wish to go in the capital region of Copenhagen.

To Helsingør (Elsinore) by train
The train station in the airport is located by terminal 3. The trains run every 20 minutes during the day and will get you directly to Helsingør (Elsinore) in about 1 hour. During the night, the trains run 1-3 times an hour. The conference venue, Konventum, is only a short taxi drive (3 km) from Helsingør (Elsinore) Station which will cost approximately DKK 80-100. It is also possible to take Bus 803 from the station to Konventum (conference venue). The bus runs twice an hour but only during the day.

Tickets can be bought at the ticket machines in terminal 3 just above the railway, and at the DSB ticket sales counter, also located in terminal 3. You can also pre-book your ticket online here.  

To Copenhagen by public transport
The public transportation in Copenhagen is very reliable, punctual, and it takes you everywhere. In Copenhagen the trains, Metro and busses (including waterbuses) can be accessed with the same ticket. All you need to know is how many zones you will pass on your journey. Tickets can be bought at the station and at the DSB ticket sales counter in terminal 3. You can also pre-book your ticket online here

Metro
The metro is located right above terminal 3. All the trains go in the same direction from the airport (M2 to Vanløse Station), so you do not have to worry about getting on the wrong train. The metro runs with 4-6 minutes intervals during the day and evening. During the night the metro runs every 15-20 minutes. It will take you 13 minutes to get to Nørreport Station (hub in city centre) from the airport.

Train
The train station is located by terminal 3. The trains run every 10 minutes during the day and will get you to Copenhagen Central Station in about 13 minutes. During the night the trains run 1-3 times an hour.

Bus
Bus 5A will take you directly to Copenhagen Central Station, City Hall Square, Nørreport and other stations. It takes about 30-35 minutes from the airport to the Central Station. The bus runs every 10 minutes during the day. The bus runs all night as well, but not as often.

Tickets can be bought at the ticket machines in terminal 3, or you can buy a ticket on the bus. Please note that the bus drivers only accept coins.

Taxi
Taxis pick up passengers at terminal 3 and will get you to downtown Copenhagen in about 20 minutes depending on traffic. It will cost approximately DKK 250-300.

Taxi to Helsingør (Elsinore) will take approximately 50 minutes depending on traffic and cost around DKK 1000-1100.
